2012 was a really successful year, filled with movement in all sorts of positive directions. i'm ready to face 2013 head-on, with more goals for myself, my art, and my teaching. looking back at my goals for 2012, it's satisfying to see the progress i've made in the past year, and to make new goals for a new year. have a great week, and a great 2013, everybody!

dailies 11/25-12/1 + ART MARKET OMG

whew! this week's dailies are a little lackluster because i have been CRANKING for art market all day every day! i book it outta school and go go go until i crash, then get up the next morning and do it all over again. but! i think it was worth it because i am almost ready (thank goodness because the market's almost here!)

art market begins wednesday at MICA's brown center, and runs 10am-6pm through saturday. i will be selling my work on the second floor with MAT/NAEA, and will have illustrations/daily drawings, as well as note cards (which you might recognize if you are an avid dailies reader).

thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays not only because i love cooking (and eating), but also because of the warm and wide definition of "family" that the holiday creates. it has been a long time since i've lived close enough to celebrate this holiday with my actual family, but i am very lucky to have had many others in my life who, in the spirit of thanksgiving, have considered me one of their own. i am thankful for the day that blurs the definition of family, and to be surrounded by wonderful people so willing to include me in theirs.
