2012 was a really successful year, filled with movement in all sorts of positive directions. i'm ready to face 2013 head-on, with more goals for myself, my art, and my teaching. looking back at my goals for 2012, it's satisfying to see the progress i've made in the past year, and to make new goals for a new year. have a great week, and a great 2013, everybody! 

post-vacay-dailies: 7/29-8/5

the final (?!) week of late dailies from my crazy summer is here! i just returned from a great road trip through new jersey, new york, and quebec celebrating my grandmother's 80th birthday and visiting all her favorite stomping grounds. let's take a look:

we had a great time walking, shopping, and eating our way through the city, and i got to (sort of) revive my high school french skills (translation: not awesome). be sure to check my instagram for pictures and details from our adventures! unfortunately, the trip ended with my poor car dying on the highway and me spending the better part of my day (and paycheck) on the repairs. whee! have a great (rest of) your week, everybody, and stay tuned for on-time updates moving forward!

sedaris was awesome (though he did confess that he hates the word awesome, and at a book signing once charged everyone who used the word $1 per offense, so i suppose i should say he was amazing/stupendous/incredible instead). he also read from his diaries, which was hilarious, to say the very least.

it's a damn good thing that sedaris was so funny, because there was some other business this week that was distinctly not awesome. fingers crossed for a better week this week. make it a good one, everybody!

dailies are here, but i'm out--- spring break is large and in charge, and sunday night is no longer full of the doom and gloom of the impending week, but instead full of joy and pizza and margaritas! let's get to it (so i too can get to it):

today was also my first trip to the baltimore farmer's market in a long while (thanks to pre-college, travel and insufferable humidity). a brisk walk, hot cup of zeke's, and great fresh, cheap produce is such a great way to start my sunday. have a great week, everybody!
