dailies 4/28-5/4.

here are the dailies for the week: and what a week it was! on friday i took to the sea (literally) to wash away a tumultuous week of blah-blahs, and man, was it effective (the fireball might also have had something to do with it) unfortunately next week is looking like another doozy so let's get down to business:

seriously, i am getting a little panicky just thinking of how much is going on this week... luckily it's a pretty good mix of fun things and less-fun things that just all happen to be occurring simultaneously, so hopefully it'll all balance out. case in point: on thursday night i have to chaperone the orchestra concert at school, but on tuesday it's bogo-teacher-appreciation-day at chipotle! clearly the universe is trying to help a sista out. have a great week, everybody!

the dailies are a little late this week because i went on a mini-adventure to NYC yesterday, to do my part in revitalizing the economy after sandy (read: i bought bolt bus tickets a while ago to do some christmas shopping). sorry for the delay!

thankfully, much of the city was back to its regular splendor by sunday, with all of the places on our "must see" list open and eager to gain back the business they lost, the weather was great, brisk and sunny, and the subway, while not 100%, provided minimal hiccups (and encouraged avid pedestrianism). i found many a killer stocking stuffer and got to catch up with several NYC buddies, AND had a run-in with the one and only chuck close at the strand! wow i never meet famous people. all in all, a great day. here's to a week of good days for everyone!

hi friends! sorry the dailies are a little late this week, i took a little weekend mini-vacation to new jersey to visit my grandmother (and go on one hell of a president's day shopping spree). here we go!

i'm barely a football fan in the first place, but this game was really good and really close, and then we threw it right out the window (and that's saying something coming from me, since everything i know about football i learned from friday night lights). sigh. have a great week, everybody!

some speedy end-of-the-day dailies as i jet off to prepare for an observed lesson first thing tomorrow morning! this was a off-beat week, with jury duty and rosh hashana (aka no school) sandwiched among teaching days.

things i learned at jury duty: 

1) it costs $11 a day to park in baltimore city

2) dreamboats adam scott and michael vartan were both in monster-in-law, quite possibly the worst movie ever made (what a waste)

3) no one ever mispronounces your name when it's "juror 453"
