the dailies 2011 are TBD, that is to say, will they be the same, or different, happening, or not? teaching year one is proving to be a very exhausting experience, so i am reticent to sign on to something only to disappoint. a lot of thinking to be done on this first day of 2011. have a great year, everybody! i'll be back in one form or another soon.

new teacher training was this week, i have keys to my classroom and WHOA I REPORT TO WORK TOMORROW.

tuesday, august 17th: "new teacher training: so many free pens and totes."

friday, august 20th: "oops not professional, guess i gotta go shopping."

i have just a few things to finish up before my classroom is all set and adorable, and a whole lot of things to finish up before i'm ready for my students! OMG OMG OMG wish me luck! on the plus side, i'm all caught up on bones and i managed to solve thursday's "oops i'm half-naked crisis" with a highly successful shopping adventure this weekend! i love killer sales and back-to-school deals, and with groupon's awesome gap deal, i will be a very stylish and fully-clothed teacher on the first day of school! have a great week, everybody.

i am finally finishing up my summer thesis! i am closing in on the 95% mark, wrapping up the final details, etc. the exhibition will be in october here at mica, but here is a sneak peek in the meantime.

dailies week two wahoo! this will be a quick one because i am very sleepy, even though it is very early. fun fact: the last pattern-y drawing was loosely inspired by staring into the middle distance at my bookshelf, and the first hand-lettering one is me lamenting and/or punishing myself for getting my car towed. because i am a genius.
