2012 was a really successful year, filled with movement in all sorts of positive directions. i'm ready to face 2013 head-on, with more goals for myself, my art, and my teaching. looking back at my goals for 2012, it's satisfying to see the progress i've made in the past year, and to make new goals for a new year. have a great week, and a great 2013, everybody!

SUPERPOST: dailies 12/19-12/31.

why, hello 2011, nice to meet you! here are the dailies that wrap up 2010, post-vacation, post-holidays.
sunday, december 19th: "making our house a home."
monday, december 20th: "the countdown begins."
tuesday, december 21st: "maybe i can still make new friends?"
wednesday, december 22nd: "even more things are changing."
thursday, december 23rd: "so not the ones i would expect."
friday, december 24th: "i think i like wrapping presents more than opening them."
saturday, december 25th: "a very merry christmas."
sunday, december 26th: "just like cinderella must've felt."

monday, december 27th: "family, just a little out of order."
tuesday, december 28th: "sent 103 lbs of books across the country to my old new home."
wednesday, december 29th: "impulsive late night grocery shopping thanks to unshakable jet lag."
thursday, december 30th: "STOP. BUYING THINGS."
friday, december 31st: "you were a good friend, 2010, thanks for stopping by!"

the dailies 2011 are TBD, that is to say, will they be the same, or different, happening, or not? teaching year one is proving to be a very exhausting experience, so i am reticent to sign on to something only to disappoint. a lot of thinking to be done on this first day of 2011. have a great year, everybody! i'll be back in one form or another soon.

ALERT: dailies 12/19-12/25 POSTPONED!

hi friends, and merry christmas! unfortunately, my present away-from-home-ness for the holidays means that i am scannerless, and can't update my dailies until i get back! i apologize for the suspense; please look forward to a super-post upon my return next week! until then, here's a crappy cellphone picture of my packing list and the people i drew at the airport:
i hope everybody else had a lovely and relaxing holiday!  have a great rest of 2010, everybody!

dailies 12/12-12/18.

tomorrow starts the last week of school before winter break and i am SO READY to jump on a plane the moment the bell rings on thursday! here are the dailies:

sunday, december 12th: "sundays why are you always the worst?"
monday, december 13th: "even if we totally fail at our respective careers, at least we can make a killer pizza."
tuesday, december 14th: "one foot in front of the other."
wednesday, december 15th: "planning for change."
thursday, december 16th: "wow it was painfully today obvious how new i am."
friday, december 17th: "slowly regaining control."
saturday, december 18th: "celebrating our own non-traditional baltimore christmas."

perfect early-christmas involved a series of baltimore staples: brunch at miss shirley's (margherita  omelette and pumkin cheesecake-stuffed french toast) and then take-out from iggie's pizza (gorgonzola pear, pesto-spinach-tomato with goat cheese, and duck with asparagus/red onion---WHOA) while watching season one of the wire. since christmas happens before my next dailies post, everybody have a safe, warm, and happy holiday!
